Michael Vick vs. Donovan McNabb

One of the biggest stories of the week in the National Football League is that Donovan McNabb is coming back to Philly to play the Eagles. This is a huge game for both teams, not only because the Eagles traded McNabb last year, but also because they traded him to a team in their division! That’s basically a slap in the face for McNabb. If a team trades you to a team that is in their own division that means that they do not believe you are good enough to beat there team in the future. So everyone knows that Donovan McNabb is going to come out to play on Sunday.
Also, this is a big game because Michael Vick is the new starter for the Philadelphia Eagles. McNabb is one of the main reasons that the Eagles ever required Michael Vick in the first place, and so far, it has paid off this year for the Eagles. Michael Vick is playing the best football of his life the past couple of weeks. He has thrown for a passer rating of over 100 in his first two starts as an Eagle, something he never did in all his years with the Falcons in Atlanta. He is also making a positive difference for his team, he trusts his teammates more than ever right now, and believes that they can make plays. Vick has also started to show more confidence in his arm rather than his legs.  The old Michael Vick would not stay in the pocket and wait for receivers to get open; he would rather run the ball because he didn’t have as much confidence in his arm as he did with his legs. Vick has definitely shown an improvement in this category and it has paid off for him.
Just be ready for a quarter back showdown in Philly on Sunday, because it’s going to be a good one. I cannot wait to watch it. Thank you to all who read my blog.
