BRUTAL SUNDAY

This Sunday in the National Football League was a brutal one. There were so many hard hits that could have seriously injured some players. One of these hits was delivered by Dunta Robinson of the Atlanta Falcons on DeSean Jackson of the Philadelphia Eagles. This hit knocked both of the players out of their game on Sunday. Robinson launched himself head first into Jackson and caused one of the worst hits I have ever seen in football. Another man who is known for insane hits is James Harrison of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He sidelined two of the Cleveland Browns player with head injuries after he leveled them in their game Sunday.
The National Football League is soon starting to suspend players for dangerous hits, because just fining these players is not getting the message through their heads.  Most of these players pay these fifteen thousand dollar fines like it is nothing and keep on doing what they’re doing the weekend after. That is why the NFL thinks the players will learn their lesson if they are suspended due to a violent hit. The NFL is just trying to protect its players and make sure they do not obtain any lifelong head injuries, or any other injuries. I know some people might disagree with this by saying that is what the NFL is all about, hard hits and nailing people, but if the NFL lets this get out of hand, there will be many more injuries throughout the league, and more and more people will stray away from the game. What are your thoughts and opinions?

  1. Even though these players have helmets and pads to protect them, they still end up getting hurt somehow. I agree with you because if this keeps going, it may not only leave to lifelong injuries but also death if the hit is too intense. They have all the money they can get so paying 15 thousand is like for us buying a candy out of a vending machine. I agree that suspension is always good is a situation like this.
